The Fourth Amendment is a right that establishes that Americans, and citizens of America as well, are protected against unreasonable searches and seizures. In this case, an officer acquired evidence without a warrant or a reason of probable cause. The officer was casually searching the scene of a 911 call. The evidence he found later placed a mother in jail after she was found guilty of a crime. But her rights were violated. The officer searching the house had no reason to suspect that there was a murder, and even if he did he had no warrant to search the whereabouts.
